From the very beginning, they were a pleasure to work with — friendly, approachable, and genuinely open to our ideas. Even when we wanted changes during the build, they were accommodating. He provides a great interface, and was in touch almost daily with the lead builder, Nick; he kept suppliers moving and quickly addressed any issues that arose.

The quality of the finished home is excellent. A visiting friend even commented on the standard of the brickwork. Nine months after moving in, we’ve had no leaks, no problems with the complex plumbing we required, and nothing beyond the usual minor plaster cracks that occur as a new home settles. And Yorkie Development have stayed in touch post the build, fixing the couple of immediate snags. Charles has even kept on top of services such as Yorkshire Water, too.

What stood out most was how customer-focused they were. Communication was excellent, we rarely had to chase anything, and they were always fair and reasonable when we did. Their pricing was competitive with no nasty surprises.

Having done several building projects before, we can honestly say this is the first time we’ve completed one without any fallouts or disagreements. That’s a real testament to the professionalism, integrity, and positive attitude that they brought to the project. Issues did arise, as they always do, but they were resolved quickly and collaboratively — no shortcuts and no harsh words.
